1,000,000 Visitors!!!

My little corner of the internet has just welcomed it’s 1 millionth visitor!

I remember starting this website up as simply a blog late one night, and gosh, haven’t things just taken off from there?!

On the site today, you will find personal updates, open and honest updates on health conditions (including my battle with Brain Cancer), reviews of musical theatre (West End, Broadway, Local and AmDram), plays, books, Eurovision, and much much more! I’d go so far to say that this site tells you more about ‘me’ than I ever could!

Two single posts of which I am exceptionally proud of are my posts on the antidepressant, Citalopram (which I take mainly to try to control my anxiety) and my review of Mikey Walsh’s early autobiography ‘Gypsy Boy‘, which my review for took off so spectacularly as I think that I was one of the first to review it and get the word out about its sheer brilliance! (incidentally, the great news since this post is that he’s now back on Twitter and is able to have a ‘real’ profile picture these days – hurrah!)

My Experience Of Citalopram: http://garidavies.me.uk/2012/11/23/my-experience-of-citalopram-ssri/

I know a lot of people will call this overshare but I genuinely and honestly post just to share an honest experience. I have anxiety and there’s so much negativity and sterility on the internet that admitting depression/anxiety and then taking a drug notorious for giving you really bad side effects at first – honest experiences are what’s missing in my opinion.

I wrote this several years ago now, but it’s still my most active post to date, and I still receive daily comments and emails in relation to it. So long as my site exists for, I will always be on hand to offer support and a friendly ear to those who stumble across it in need of assurance. It’s such an important post to me and I’ll always keep talking about it – mental illnesses need this sort of “real exposure” I think.

Just to end with a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who has supported me over the years with this website, and the many more I hope to enjoy (I’ve just renewed the domain for another 10 years!). I write primarily for myself and it’s brilliant that all you guys all come along for the ride too x.
