Rar,
It’s been a while and so I thought I’d make a quick blog to let folk know what I’ve recently been up to :oD
Going for another bullet point blog as I have a few things going on and not much time to post unfortunately…
-
Had my annual salary review – woo!
-
Stu came over and spent from Friday evening until Sunday lunchtime at mine – yay!
-
I made Asparagus and Pancetta Pasta for Stu on Friday night which seemed to go down well (we went to Tesco after work for the ingredients, which was fun, though they didn’t sell pancetta so we had to make do with gammon pieces instead).
-
We had SingStar mania going on at my place this weekend with Stu and I both battling at Singstar Rock Ballads and Singstar Anthems (which was really good for me, as I am normally very shy and won’t sing in front of people… so took a lot of courage for me to do this – yay!). Needless to say, Stu was far better than I was, though I am pleased to find that I am able to comfortably open up around him like this, yay!
-
On Saturday we went to Camden High Street and had a look around all of the markets and whatnot. My opinion of the place is that it’s very much like it’s a convention of big issue sellers… that said, it was a good touristy experience for me, and so I’m glad that I ventured down there.
-
After Camden we headed down to Barnes Bridge in Surrey to catch the Oxford – Cambridge boat race. Unfortunately we managed to miss it passing us by mere minutes, meh! We had a walk back from Barnes Bridge to Hammersmith which was quite pleasant despite the weather.
-
Once back at mine, we decided to have a pizza, ice-cream and DVD night, so we went and joined the local Blockbuster video store, choosing to rent the SingStar Anthems game, and then we raided Sainsbury’s for pizza and Haagen Dazs Strawberry Cheesecake ice-cream hehe.
-
This morning (Sunday) was glorious weather and I was sorely tempted to have a poke around the French Market that’s cropped up outside East Finchley tube. However after dropping Stu off at the tube, I was quite keen to get back and watch The Celebrity Apprentice final (USA) which I’d downloaded hehe. Hopefully the market will still be there when I get home from work this week!
-
Stu and I have also planned a day trip to my home town of Manchester for Saturday April 19th, which I am REALLY excited about!
So yeah, quite a few points there!
As I say, in the time frame that I have available to me, this was the best way to present the information – apologies to anyone who thinks that these things should only ever be written as a piece of continuous prose hehe!
With a bit of luck I’ll be in a position to blog further and in more detail as the week goes on :oD
Hope that everyone’s OK, and thanks for reading xx
