Our Vera

So, I thought it was about time to introduce the World to ‘Our Vera’.

Our Vera is now primarily responsible for doing the vaccuming every day and making sure that she gets into every nook and cranny. We don’t pay her, and she loves to eat dust, dirt and fabric. She’ll work any time of the day and at a moment’s notice, whilst we sit there watching TV with our feet-up ignoring her.

Now, before you all comment to complain about me chaining up a poor old cleaning lady called Vera, let me explain 😛

'Our Vera'

Our Vera is an iRobot Roomba 530 – a robot that is specifically designed to hoover your floors!

A friend of mine also has a Roomba and so after seeing it in action a few months ago, and, as we now have a new carpet at home, I figured that it was about time that I adopted one too as you know what new carpets are like… a nightmare!

We were also really pleased to see that Millicent has taken well to Our Vera too. The only problem now is that Millicent has taken to using Our Vera as her chariot and is frankly getting a little too big for her boots!!! heh.

Roomba is a fun gadget that you’ll find yourself watching time and time again. It seems strange that you’d want to sit back and watch the hoover do it’s thing for 30 mins, but believe me, you will! Roomba’s are also a lot of fun at a party – just get one out and watch the whole room marvel and insist that you do some hoovering right there and then hehe!

Here’s  a Roomba’s eye view for you as she struts her funky stuff in our living room…

Cheaper than a cleaner, Our Vera is an absolute gem around the house, is never late, takes on the chores efficiently and never complains.

Now… do iRobot make new boyfriends…?! HEHE!  😛
