Max and I have just got back from The Lowry, where they’ve currently got a FREE exhibition called ‘The House Of Annie Lennox’ which is running until Sunday 17 June 2012.
Annie Lennox is a massive icon to me, and I’m a big fan, so this was indeed a treat – in addition, as this is a Victoria & Albert (V&A) Museum collection, the production values on it were fantastic, I thought, and I loved how intimate it all felt in terms of closeness to Annie’s life, and her personal involvement as a curator the show.
The House element to the exhibition was fantastically designed, and really felt magical, and away from this, I also loved that there was a whole massive wall devoted to displaying all of her Gold/Platinum discs, that her Oscar was on display, and that there was a special cinema room set up so that people could just go in, sit down and while away the day watching Annie Lennox music videos – heaven!! ^_^
If you’ve got a spare hour or so to spare, then this exhibition is really a nice way to pass an afternoon (especially over the BH weekends!) and is great for all the family.
Further information on the exhibition can be found on The Lowry’s website.
Love this lady. she’s amazing.
