Yard Trash

OK, so it’s been a few days since I last blogged as I have been a lil busy in recent days.  “California Dreamin” by the Mamas and Papas is on my music player and the tone of it sums up my current chilled out and relaxed mood nicely – yay.

Thursday wasn’t too bad at work, a productive day all round, and I had a nice surprise when Tom rang and asked if I fancied an early lunch as he was in the area. Ended up going to La Tasca in Covent Garden and enjoying several tapas dishes, though Tom’s insistence at dancing along to the backing music was hilarious – that boy sure knows how to make me giggle hehe. Thursday was also payday, so that was cool too. I seem to have saved so much money since being single; I am not sure how, I think it’s because I’ve not really been eating since the separation from Danny – so eating was a rare luxury hehe.

Friday at work was nice and relaxed as I’ve managed to get ahead of my Month-End calendar and so things aren’t going to be as bad as I’d feared I don’t think. Monday will tell!

Friday night I met up with Stu, a lad I’ve been chatting to for a while on Thingbox, for a rescheduled night out from 2 weeks previous. Very lovely lad, who seems to be on my wavelength (god help him). Started off in Yard Bar before heading over to Trash Palace once Yard had closed. Lots of fun and a wee bit of campery made for an excellent night. The one hiccup of the evening came when Stu accidentally knocked my drink all over my trousers (we’re talking a whole bottle of Strongbow – unfortunately the bar didn’t do Magners *cries*), making it look like I’d pissed myself.

Wet Pants :-(

We were both so embarrassed as we’d been both trying to create a good impression, and were both jolly relieved to find that the other hadn’t ran off the next time he “went to the toilet” *giggles*.  I have never had anything like that happen to me before, but I am very pleased to find that I completely saw the funny side of it and was nice and dry (albeit giving off cider vapours) by the time we left at 2:30am. Again, went to the Dinosaurus kebab place whose name I can’t remember and then Stu came and crashed back at mine (mainly due to him living miles away in zone 6, which is a 2 hour night bus journey,  so Zone 3 at 3am seemed a more practical solution).

Stu left around midday today and I accompanied him to Highgate tube station. Went off to Sainsbury’s once he’d left and managed to spend £10.00 exactly (it’s a talent!) on absolute sweet Fanny Adams! Seriously, I have some chocolate, some more shake ‘n’ vac and some scourers and that’s it!!  Pfft!

The early part of this afternoon has been spent eating chocolate and watching Eddie Izzard clips (Tom introduced me to him last week, though it seems Stu is also an obsessive and quoted lots of my favourite comedians last night so I was really in the mood for a chortle. In-fact it seems most people I know love Eddie Izzard; so I’m surprised that I’ve not come across his jokes before!! I feel left out now… ).

Plans for this afternoon are to meet Joe down at Embankment and we’ll decide what we’re up to once we’re down there (we’ve been asking eachother ‘what do you want to do?’ since Thursday and still have no idea lol). This should be nice, as we’ve been chatting on MSN since Tom’s party but this will be the first time that I’ve seen him since then.

Tomorrow will be spent watching my Hairspray DVD I think and then I am meeting Tom to watch Westlife at the O2 from our private suite…. mock me all you like, I actually quite like their songs hehe! *blush*

So yeah, a busy week that’s really helped to lift my spirits; I am feeling a little more content than I was doing at the start of the week, so thanks to everyone who’s been there for me this week to keep me all smiley and happy xx
