Random music update – Feb 2010

As I tend to do from time to time, I thought I’d post a couple of songs that I have recently discovered/ ‘rediscovered’.

Music is a rather large part of my life – I spend around 10-12 hours a day listening to the stuff and so inevitably certain songs get lost, only to be lovingly rediscovered somewhere random, such as in a lift or whilst getting onto a train (fortunately, I have only yelped in excitement twice.. so far heh).

The songs that I post tend not to be current top 10 songs and are usually songs that I have randomly heard when I am out and about – I hope that you guys enjoy this selection:

Lady Gaga – Speechless

Lemar – The Way Love Goes

… I am still surprised to be championing a Lemar song – oooh, get me!! heh.

David Guetta (ft Estelle) – One Love

Agnes – I Need You Now

Anika Moa – Standing In This Fire

…I really really love this song – it was the song played on Neighbours when Elle left the street for New York

Maxi Priest – Wild World

The Pointer Sisters – Slow Hand

Jace Everett – Bad Things

Mama Cass – Make Your Own Kind Of Music

Dionne Bromfield – Mama Said

… the song from Amy Winehouse’s niece – it’s actually surprisingly good!

Mika – Relax, Take It Easy

Mika – Rain

…Mika’s worst ever charting UK single (it went in at #72!)  – it also eatures Final Fantasy violinist, Owen Pallet (yay).

BWO – Sunshine in the Rain

… is it just me, or does Mika’s Rain sound very similar?

Mika – Blame It On The Girls

… so yes, I am going through a bit of a random Mika phase at the moment, heh!

Journey – Any Way You Want It

… for all you Journey newbies proclaiming how much you love Journey so much just ‘cos you heard ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ 5 minutes ago… here’s yet another of their awesome songs!

Bethany Joy Galeotti – I Want Something That I Want

… never watched One Tree Hill, but I love this song!
